Bluenose Ability Arts and Film Festival (BAAFF)

The Bluenose Ability Arts and Film Festival is Atlantic Canada’s only film festival that is dedicated to exploring and celebrating disability as a creative and impactful contribution to film and arts culture. All of BAAFF film projects are created by, and/or feature people with disabilities. We strive to make all of our screenings and events free & accessible!

BAAFF 2020 runs from Monday May 25 to Sunday May 31

BAAFF’s submission criteria has expanded to include a broader range of creative, performing, literature, and visual arts.

Workshops

BAAFF is committed to growing the disability arts community and hosts a number of arts focused workshops year-round, like our First-Time Filmmakers Program. We firmly believe that bringing together established and emerging artists creates powerful work that impacts the community and elevates the work being done.

Showcases

One of our favourite things to do is show off the incredible work of artists specializing in all mediums! From film screenings to circus performances, drag shows and galleries; we love it all!
